Dance!

Abigail had her big yearly dance recital yesterday, but it hasn't happened in a few years due to Covid, so it was a big deal. She sure has changed since the last one! Her dancing was really off from the rest of the group, but full of style and confidence. Helene came along and we celebrated afterwards in the backyard with some tea and cookies. Amélie gave Abigail some pretty earrings instead of a flower.

Last Sunday we got to visit the water museum in Arnhem and the next day the girls went on a field trip to the Anton Pieck museum (we had planned to go there instead of the water museum as Naomi wanted to visit it for years but after the reservation was made the girls told us they were going the next day with their school).

I made lots of good progress in the workshop this week and plan to at least get all the pieces cut out before family arrives. I also want to read through my novel again before that happens. And clean up the garden. No shortage of things to do and the weather should be just right!

Also finished up 2012 with the blog book. What a year that was! The end of the world according to some cultures. Two weddings. Trips to Vienna and Michigan. A new house. It will be great to see this on paper when I finally get done with all the formatting. Big project.

Free water near the water museum.

A class field trip to the Anton Pieck museum.

Abigail's dance recital.

Sleeping together after the big day of dancing. Amélie didn't want any more bug bites as she got a few nasty ones the night before.
